Who we are and what’s in a Title

So what’s it all about then? I mean seriously Food from the Mother Ship – are we harbouring aliens and giving away the secrets to Earth’s culinary delights? – I think not.  Seriously folks the title was a bit tongue in cheek for want of a better expression.  We have seen many great food journals, blogs and portals all with names that all have deep meanings. Ours do not but only to reflect a sense of fun and a touch of Joie de vivre.

Food from the Mother Ship is a collection of recipes that we have either created or collected over the years. Both of us are dye in the wool foodies and have both travelled extensively with our jobs and the whole time eating out and cooking in.

This place of food for want of a better phrase will feature articles on cooking techniques, recipes from our heritage and all time favourites, reviews of cookbooks and cookware, and it will include information on food festivals.

There is only a few requirements we have for this website – that you enjoy yourself, use the recipes and let us know how you did or what you changed – we love comments and hearing from you.

If you have a recipe you want to share let us know and we will test it and publish it here. It’s all about enjoyment of food and the community that is created around it.
